Mr. Paras Shahdadpuri, Chairman, NIKAI Group of Companies is a former diplomat with the Indian Foreign Service. He left this prestigious career to take up the new challenge and moved out to forge his own business empire.

He started with trading in commodities in 1988 and chose Dubai to be the headquarters of his business activity and this laid the foundation of the NIKAI Group of Companies — a diversified business group which has forayed into Electronics, Home Appliances, Restaurants, Outsourcing and FMCG.

Mr. Paras Shahdadpuri made a revolution in Consumer Electronics and Home appliances with the launch of the brand NIKAI in the year 1995. The NIKAI brand has created history by maintaining sustained growth ever since its inception, year after year. It now competes with the major international brands from Japan, Korea & Europe. NIKAI has a wide range of over 400 products with over 60 million satisfied consumers in about 60 countries. It has become a household name and has achieved a status of being “Mr. RELIABLE” in the life of its consumers.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Paras Shahdadpuri has also worked for the community. As the Chairman of the Overseas Indians Economic Forum during 1999- 2001 and as the President of the Indian Business and Professional Council, Dubai from 2009 to 2011, he brought together the Indian business community with the UAE hosts and fostered closer working relationship. The Indian business community and the UAE government officials respect him equally for his initiatives and contributions to the community.

In the education field, under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Bin Mubarak Al-Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research of UAE, Mr. Shahdadpuri has instituted NIKAI Awards for “Excellence in Innovative Teaching” and for “Outstanding Achievement” to the Best Student of UAE in the Higher Colleges of Technology.
